ET: A Caricaturist 4 Hire

When I do caricatures or cartoons, ET is my alter-ego name. My old friends from high school called me the name and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure why. Was it my head?..my face?... my height? - that might resembled the creature? Arrrgh!!
Ok.. I'm not about to put my own pix for you to make some comparisons.. heh. But it could be because in my school batch of MRSM Kerteh 1987-89, we have a few girls with the same name, hence they needed to give each of us a different nickname. Somehow, I got stuck with ET. Just maybe, I was one of the geeks with an artistic freak...i mean, streak.

I love doing caricatures as I enjoy doing portraits. When you do caricatures, you could really let your imagination run wild with fun expressions of the people you draw. And when you do portraits, the same passion still runs but with handle and care to paint what you see in a person onto a canvas. Whatever it is, enjoy yourself.
My latest client asked me to cartoonize the portraits of her lovely kids. Aren't they just cute?

Let me show other caricatures I have done some time ago..

Beach Clean-up in Terengganu

I had a fun time last weekend in Marang, Kuala Terengganu. There was an event organized by MOSTI (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation), TREVICOSTA ( Terengganu Riverine and Coastal Authority) and BERKAT (Badan Kerja Amal Wanita Profesional Terengganu di Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan) to clean the beach in Marang. It was aimed to create awareness about our marine health and system and how important it was to take care of it. I would recommend people coming to the State of Terengganu to visit the place. It's a lovely, peaceful and an interesting little village. Actually, I'm a member of BERKAT and was given the task to organize a Coloring Contest as part of the event. So I created this little drawing as the coloring template for the KEMAS kids..
TSMAP stands for TERENGGANU SUSTAINABLE MARINE AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR COASTAL COMMUNITIES

It rained heavily during the contest but the kids (plus their teachers and parents) managed to stay put and looked like they were enjoying the weather. I thought they were so cooperative, organized and patient throughout the event. 50 students between the age of 3 to 6 years old took part for the contest .

Congrats to the girls and a BIG thank you to
PELIKAN for sponsoring the prizes and coloring kits.

Most of the committees involved during the event stayed at the Marang Waterfront Resort & Spa- including me. I love the small resort. It was simple..comfortable and the river was right in their backyard. Simply scenic!. The food was OK and I especially love the Resort's Tapai Ubi Ice Cream.. Ahhh...so yummy.

Even though my stay was short, I longed to return and be inspired by nature and the everyday life along the Marang River...
